Refund Policy

Effective Date: 10/May/2024

This Refund Policy forms an integral part of Razorhost’s Terms of Service and governs all purchases made on our platform. By purchasing any service from Razorhost, the customer expressly agrees to all terms stated herein.

At Razorhost, we are committed to delivering reliable, secure, and high-performance hosting services. However, as our services are digital, intangible, and provisioned instantly, refunds are strictly limited and governed by the terms outlined below.

1. Nature of Services

Razorhost provides hosting and related digital services that are activated immediately upon successful payment. Once activated, server resources, infrastructure allocation, licensing, configuration, and technical provisioning are initiated, making the service non-reversible in nature.

By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges that the service has been initiated and waives any unconditional right to cancellation or refund except as expressly defined in this policy.

2. Limited Refund Eligibility

2.1 Eligible Services

Refunds are applicable only to first-time purchases of Managed Shared Hosting services.

2.2 Eligibility Conditions

A refund will only be considered if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The request is submitted within 7 days of purchase
  • The customer provides a valid, verifiable, and server-related reason
  • The issue is directly related to Razorhost’s server or infrastructure
  • Razorhost is unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe after investigation and troubleshooting

Important: Customers must allow Razorhost support sufficient time to investigate and attempt to resolve the issue before requesting a refund.

Burden of Proof: The burden of proof lies entirely with the customer to demonstrate that the issue is directly caused by Razorhost’s infrastructure. Razorhost reserves the right to investigate all claims and determine the root cause before approving any refund.

2.3 Non-Eligible Reasons

Refunds will not be granted for reasons such as change of mind, lack of technical knowledge, incorrect plan selection, business loss, expectation mismatch, or any issue arising from third-party applications, themes, plugins, APIs, custom scripts, or user misconfiguration.

3. Service Usage Condition

If the service has been actively used in any manner, including but not limited to website deployment, file hosting, email usage, database usage, traffic generation, or significant resource consumption, Razorhost reserves the right to reduce the refund amount or deny the refund entirely.

Server resource allocation, usage, and consumption shall be treated as fulfillment of service.

4. One Refund Per Customer

Only one refund request is permitted per customer. Multiple accounts, repeated cancellations, repeated signups, or attempts to use services as a trial, temporary service, or demo will result in refund denial and may lead to permanent account restriction.

5. Refund Request Requirements

All refund requests must be submitted through the Client Area and must include a clear reason along with sufficient supporting details, such as logs, screenshots, error messages, or other technical proof where applicable.

Refund requests submitted without sufficient details, proof, or technical information may be rejected.

6. Strict Time Limit

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase. Requests submitted even a few minutes after the expiry of the 7-day period will not be considered under any circumstances. No exceptions shall be made.

7. Promotional & Discounted Services

Services purchased under heavy discounts, promotional offers, flash sales, special campaigns, bundled offers, or coupon-based pricing may have limited refund eligibility or may be entirely non-refundable at Razorhost’s sole discretion.

8. Non-Refundable Services

The following services are strictly non-refundable:

  • Domain name registration, renewal, and transfer
  • Domain privacy
  • SSL certificates
  • Reseller Hosting
  • VPS
  • Dedicated Servers
  • Clusters
  • Addons and upgrades
  • Licenses
  • Extra IP addresses
  • Website development or custom services
  • Any third-party software or software license fees

9. Upgrades, Downgrades & Existing Customers

9.1 Product Upgrades/Downgrades

Refunds are not applicable for plan upgrades, downgrades, migrations between plans, billing cycle changes, or any service modifications initiated by the customer.

9.2 Existing Customers

Orders placed by existing customers who already have an active service with Razorhost are non-refundable.

10. Suspension, Termination & Payment Issues

10.1 Suspension/Termination

No refund will be issued if the service is suspended or terminated due to:

  • Email abuse, spam, or misuse of services
  • Illegal, inappropriate, fraudulent, or prohibited activities
  • Violation of resource usage limits or company policies
  • Breach of Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
  • Failure to provide requested verification or required information
  • Fraud detection, risk flags, or abuse complaints

10.2 Payment Issues

Refunds are not applicable where services are terminated, suspended, or restricted due to non-payment, late payment, failed transactions, disputed transactions, chargebacks, or billing-related issues.

10.3 Late Fees

A late fee of ₹99 will be added to invoices if payment is not made before suspension. This amount must be cleared before any eligible reactivation.

11. Payment, Refund Mode & Processing

11.1 Payment & Activation

Services paid via online payment methods, including cards, net banking, wallets, and PayPal, are activated instantly upon successful payment confirmation. Payments made via UPI, NEFT, or IMPS are activated once funds are confirmed.

11.2 Refund Method

Approved refunds will normally be processed to the original payment method used during purchase. If the original payment method is unavailable, unsupported, or otherwise not feasible, Razorhost may issue the refund as account credit at its sole discretion.

11.3 Non-Refundable Payment Methods

Payments made via UPI, NEFT, or IMPS directly to Razorhost’s bank account are strictly non-refundable. In rare approved cases, such amounts may be converted into Razorhost account credit only.

11.4 Processing Time

Approved refunds are generally processed within 7–15 business days after validation, review, and approval.

11.5 Processing Charges

All payment gateway charges, transaction fees, taxes, handling charges, refund processing costs, bank charges, and currency conversion fees are non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund amount.

12. Refund Deductions & Zero Refund Outcome

12.1 General Deduction Policy

All refunds are subject to applicable deductions. Razorhost reserves the right to process refunds partially, fully, or deny them entirely based on internal evaluation, service usage, costs incurred, and compliance with this policy.

12.2 Domain Charges

If a hosting plan includes a free domain, the standard domain price will be deducted from the refund. If the refund amount is less than the domain cost, the customer must pay the difference or forfeit ownership/use of the domain, subject to applicable transfer terms.

12.3 License Charges

If any bundled or included software license has been provisioned, including but not limited to WHMCS or similar software, Razorhost may deduct the applicable license cost from the refund amount.

12.4 Migration Charges

If migration has been completed, a mandatory charge of ₹1,000 per GB + GST per account may be deducted. This includes migrated files, emails, databases, backups, and related technical work. This deduction applies regardless of the refund amount.

12.5 Setup & Administrative Charges

Any setup fees, manual configuration costs, administrative charges, verification costs, or technical labor costs are non-refundable.

12.6 Zero Refund Scenario

After applying all applicable deductions, the final refund amount may be zero. The customer expressly agrees to this condition at the time of purchase.

13. Limitations & Exclusions

13.1 Temporary Downtime & Maintenance

Temporary service interruptions, scheduled maintenance, network fluctuations, upstream provider incidents, software bugs, or internet-related disruptions do not qualify for refunds.

13.2 Third-Party Dependencies

Issues caused by third-party software, plugins, themes, extensions, APIs, CDN providers, registrars, payment gateways, external DNS providers, or any external services are not eligible for refunds.

13.3 Support Cooperation

Customers must cooperate with Razorhost support and follow reasonable troubleshooting steps. Failure to cooperate, failure to respond, or refusal to test recommended fixes may result in refund denial.

13.4 Abuse of Refund Policy

Razorhost reserves the right to deny refund requests in cases of refund abuse, repeated claims, suspicious behavior, trial abuse, or any attempt to exploit the refund system.

14. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute without first contacting Razorhost support constitutes a violation of this policy and the Terms of Service.

In such cases, Razorhost reserves the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate all services
  • Permanently restrict the customer account
  • Block future orders
  • Submit transaction logs, IP records, provisioning logs, service usage data, communication history, invoices, and technical evidence to banks, payment gateways, processors, dispute panels, or legal authorities

15. Limitation of Liability

Razorhost shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or business-related losses, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profit, data, goodwill, business interruption, or expected savings arising out of the use of, inability to use, suspension of, or termination of services.

16. Backup Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for maintaining their own backups at all times. Razorhost is not liable for data loss, deletion, corruption, or unavailability following suspension, cancellation, termination, migration, or service failure.

17. Automatic System Actions

Billing, invoice generation, suspension, termination, and late fee application may be processed automatically by Razorhost systems, including scheduled actions at 2:00 AM IST. Customers are responsible for managing their services, payments, due dates, and renewal obligations in time.

18. Jurisdiction & Legal Authority

By purchasing or using Razorhost services, the customer expressly agrees to this jurisdiction clause.

19. Final Decision Authority

All refund requests are subject to Razorhost’s internal review, investigation, verification, and policy compliance evaluation.

Razorhost reserves the absolute right to approve, partially approve, reduce, adjust, or deny any refund request. Razorhost’s decision regarding refunds shall be final, binding, and non-negotiable.
